ABOUT ME
In 2003 we introduced our first pedigree dogs, the beautiful Siberian Husky, to our family. We had researched the breed and were fortunate to find a small kennel in Essex where we were able to visit and get to know the dogs and the owner very well. It was there that I first heard of Canine Hydrotherapy. Further research made me more aware of the benefits of hydrotherapy in rehabilitation.
TRAINING
In order to understand the benefits of hydrotherapy in more detail, I enrolled on a series of training courses at the Hawksmoor Hydrotherapy Training Centre, the first hydrotherapy training centre to be accredited by the ABC Awarding Body Consortium and professionally recognised as one of the market leaders in hydrotherapy. I gained certificates in Hydrotherapy, First Aid in Animal Care, Pool Water Management, Management of Medical Conditions in Hydrotherapy and the Musculoskeletal System and Conditions in Hydrotherapy. I plan to further my training as and when new courses become available.
EXPERIENCE
I have gained experience in swimming a wide variety of breeds with varying conditions at Hydrozone Therapy Centre with Malcolm Adler, Chair of the Canine Hydrotherapy Association (CHA), Woof n Water Canine Rehabilitation Centre with Lee Rudge, a founder member of CHA and Katie's K9 Therapy Centre with Sarah Mallett, also a founder member of CHA.
