HYDROTHERAPY

 

The Ramsey Canine Hydrotherapy Centre facilities were designed and built for canine use and provide rehabilitation to all breeds of dogs. The dogs benefit greatly from being able to exercise or convalesce in a safe, controlled, weightless environment where they are able to work the joints, develop the muscles and strengthen the heart and respiratory system. It is the only form of exercise in which there is no impact on the joints.

 

Vets have been referring dogs for hydrotherapy to complement the treatment they are providing at the surgery.

 

VET REFERRAL

 

The condition and health of a dog needs to be determined by their vet therefore a  written veterinary referral is necessary before I can swim a dog; I feel it is important to work together with the owners and the Veterinarian to ensure the best possible outcome so your dog’s Veterinarian will be kept informed of their progress. A Vet Referral Form is available to download or print off from the menu and can be returned by fax, post or in person. 

 

 

                                    PET INSURANCE PROVIDERS

 

Most pet insurance plans cover hydrotherapy if it is recommended by the Veterinarian. Ramsey CHC are accepted by many pet insurance providers. Please check with them first.
